IDSA: Sign on for strong commitments against TB

The first United Nations General Assembly High Level Meeting on Ending Tuberculosis on September 26, 2018 will present an unprecedented opportunity for UN Member States to make concrete commitments in the meeting’s political declaration towards eliminating the world’s biggest infectious disease killer. Today, on World Health Day, please join us in reconfirming our commitment to eradicating TB.

In this physician and researcher sign-on letter, IDSA is urging United Nations U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley to push for a political declaration that includes robust commitments for finding and treating TB patients, adequately responding to multidrug-resistant TB, and increasing resources for TB responses and research and development of new tools.

Make your voice heard: Sign onto the letter by Sunday, April 29, and share this email widely with colleagues involved in TB treatment, control and research. IDSA will compile signatures and send the letter to Ambassador Haley the first week of May.
